About Us

Located in Bedford, near the Great River Ouse, Ross Hugo Leather was founded to produce quality, hand crafted leather goods using traditional skills passed down through the generations before the advent of mass produced, offshore manufacture.

Each of our products is made from the very best vegetable tanned leather from UK and Italian tanneries. Everything is hand cut, hand stitched or copper riveted with the provenance of the materials being used of upmost importance to us.

Leather is a wonderfully unique material in that each hide is slightly different. It has its own personality and characteristics. Goods crafted from quality leather age with a wonderful patina, charisma and distinction and with a little care, will provide many years of loyal service.

It's hard to resist the smell of a beautiful Tuscan leather wallet with its tactile, soft, textured grain. Or an English bridle leather belt, with die cast brass buckle that matures like a fine wine, getting better and better as the years roll by!

​It is a pleasure for us to spend our days practicing these time honoured skills and bringing to market a range of accessories from wallets to dog collars, belts to roll top rucksacks and key fobs to notebook covers.
